I live in Siem Reap and I always take my out of town visitors to Georges Rhumerie and pick up a jar of their homemade jam or chutney while I’m there. I’ve tried the sampler appetizer platter, the Gratin Crevette, Crevette Curcuma, and Filet de Poisson. They are all fabulous! The pina coladas are made with their own coconut infused coconut rum, and the jackfruit/cinnamon rum is also excellent. On top of that, the owners and the staff are super nice!
A MUST!!! Don’t miss George’s! It is a delightful dining experience. The service is very attentive and kind! We were served coconut rum upon arrival which was delicious. I couldn’t decide on a drink so they offered a rum sampler flight. I was surprised when they brought 9 different flavored rums! It wasn’t on our check. We called attention to it and they said it was our free tasting flight! Wow!
We enjoyed our first dinner so much that we returned for our last night in Siem Reap. We had the cheese and jam board. All good but the passion mango was my favorite homemade jam. I ordered the Gratin Crevette which ,again, was fabulous! Clarke had the Rougaille Saucisse which is their pork sausage cooked in a Creole sauce. Devine. A meat lover’s heaven. They send you home with two small jams at the end of your evening.
Went to this restaurant a week ago. Ordered the cabbage salad, the rougaille saucisse, porc masalé and gratin aux crevettes. Everything was absolutely delicious and reminded me of the islands 🙂 + the coconut rum was simply tasty! Was awesome chatting with George as well. He’s a funny and interesting man to talk to. Try the door beer as well. Thanks a lot!
