Great food and excellent service. The “Gratin” is great and the vegan sausage is delicious (even for non-vegans like us). For dessert we had the coconut-pineapple samosa, but instead of ricotta ice cream, we asked to change to choco chip ice cream, which sounded better. It ended up being delicious.
They are really friendly and have an “eco concept” and the food is not expensive. I would go back a million times if I could!

A must! George and his son personally checked in with all customers. The chef came to ensure my nut and seed allergies were being looked after. The food was fantastic, we ordered mixed entrees and the bread with cheese and homemade jams, for mains we ordered the gratin without bacon (they kindly took $3 off the bill without us asking) and the steak. The food was all made fresh to order and they were able to adapt any meal (allergies, vegan etc). It was a great dining experience with wonderful service. We will be back!
Just back from a fantastic dinner! Great service and high quality food cooked with premium ingredients. A great mix of dining options including vegan – certainly the best vegan food my daughter has eaten for a year (and she’s eaten in top UK vegan restaurants). We also loved the ginger beef (grass fed) and the gratin!
There is a lot to explore in the dining offerings at Georges Rhumerie, with something for everyone and interesting dishes that will tempt you back.
I was excited to see a good vegetarian and vegan selection, including a vegan sausage, but I chose the Mushroom Mapo Tofu which was delicious and very filling – my non-veg companion agreed it tasted fantastic. The Fromage Confiture for starters came with 6 homemade jams which really complemented the dish. There are complementary homemade chutneys and chili pastes with the mains too, which is a nice surprise.
